Risk Disclosure

Trading carries risk. You can lose money.

This page is not a formality. It describes, plainly, what can go wrong when you use Triggon and what the figures we publish do and do not tell you.

Nothing on Triggon is financial advice

Triggon is a platform where independent Providers publish trading Strategies and their records. It does not recommend Strategies, does not tell you what to trade, and does not assess whether any Strategy is suitable for you, your circumstances or your tolerance for loss. Every decision to subscribe to a Strategy, to act on a Signal, or to enable automated execution is yours alone.

You can lose money, including all of it

Every market Triggon covers moves against the positions taken in it, and crypto, forex, stocks and commodities each do so in their own way and on their own schedule. Positions taken with leverage can lose more, faster, than the same position taken without it, and can be closed out by the exchange or broker before a stop loss is reached. A Strategy with a long history of profitable trades can lose money on the next one, and on every one after that.

Only commit funds you are able to lose without it affecting your life.

What Triggon's published figures mean, and what they do not

Every performance figure on Triggon is computed from trades recorded at the moment they opened, which is what makes the record trustworthy as a description of the past. It is still only a description of the past.

  • Past performance does not predict future results. A Strategy's return, Win Rate, Profit Factor, Maximum Drawdown and Sharpe, Sortino and Calmar Ratios describe trades that have already closed. None of them is a forecast.
  • The Triggon Score is a ranking, not a recommendation. It weights and scales what has already happened so that short lucky runs do not outrank long consistent ones. It does not estimate what a Strategy will do next, and a higher Score does not mean a Strategy is right for you.
  • A track record can be short. A Strategy with few trades or few days active has not yet produced enough evidence to be judged, whatever its figures say.
  • Your results will differ from a Strategy's. Fill prices, fees, slippage, the size you trade, when you subscribed and how much of your balance you commit all change the outcome.

Risks specific to following a Provider

  • A Provider may change how their Strategy behaves, stop sending Signals, or stop trading entirely.
  • A Signal may arrive when you cannot act on it, or at a price you cannot get.
  • A Strategy's edge may degrade as more people trade it, which is why subscriber capacity is capped and published, but a cap is not a guarantee.

Risks specific to Auto-Trade

Automated execution does not reduce market risk. It removes delay, which means a Strategy that loses money will lose it faster with Auto-Trade enabled than with you placing each trade by hand.

  • Orders are placed on your own exchange account and are subject to that exchange's availability, its fees, its rate limits and its liquidity at the moment of execution.
  • An exchange outage, an API failure, a rate limit or a network fault can prevent an order being placed, modified or closed when the Strategy intended.
  • A position can be liquidated by the exchange before a stop loss is reached, particularly at higher leverage.
  • Triggon's execution safeguards (slippage limits, order size ceilings, Signal age limits, the circuit breaker) constrain how orders are placed. They do not protect you from a Strategy that loses money.
  • You are responsible for the limits you set and for the API key you connect.

Platform and operational risk

Triggon is software and depends on other software. Telegram, the exchanges, market data providers and the network between them can all fail. Signals may be delayed or, in a failure, not delivered. Features may change or be withdrawn.

Regulatory and tax

Whether you may use a platform like Triggon, and how any gains or losses are taxed, depends on where you live. Both are your responsibility to establish. Triggon does not provide tax or legal advice.

If you are not comfortable losing the amount you are about to commit, do not commit it. That is the only part of this page that is a recommendation.
